Cloud service MacWeb has launched new options for developers to use its M4 Mac mini configurations, using the new device on demand for building and testing apps.

MacWeb allows developers to effectively rent a Mac in order to use the device’s performance, or test apps, without the capital expenditure of buying the Macs outright. Alongside its existing M2 Mac mini services, the company is now offering M4 and M4 Pro Mac mini options.

“MacWeb’s New Mac mini cloud service empowers developers to build, test, and deploy tomorrow’s modern applications and Al models,” said Eric Bickford, CEO of MacWeb. “By offloading the burden of infrastructure management to MacWeb, developers can instantly increase their creativity, efficiency, and productivity, all while enjoying significant cost savings.”

  • MacWeb Base M4: an M4 Mac mini for $99/month
  • MacWeb Power M4 Pro: M4 Pro Mac mini with 12-core CPU and 24GB RAM for $199/month
  • MacWeb Ultimate M4 Pro: M4 Pro Mac mini with 14-core CPU and 64GB RAM for $299/month

The company says that users get a dedicated Mac mini, and instant activation. So the benefit is that a developer can be using an M4 Mac mini within minutes of deciding to, and can cancel at any time.

To buy outright from Apple, an M4 Mac mini in this base configuration costs $599. The M4 Pro version with 24GB is $1,399, and with 64GB RAM is $1,999.

MacWeb is the latest cloud service provider to add options for the M4 Mac mini. It follows MacStadium’s similar offering in November 2024.
