Satechi 6-in-1 Slim USB-C Adapter review

The Satechi 6-in-1 Slim USB-C adapter is small enough to fit in the pocket but provides enough connectivity to support your day-to-day needs.

After upgrading from an iPhone 14 to an iPhone 16 this fall, all my devices now support USB-C connections for charging and data transfer. This is also the reality for many other Apple consumers, and that’s where the value of a small USB-C adapter shows itself.

Satechi has been making USB-C and Thunderbolt docks and adapters for years and covers various price ranges and needs. Its latest is the 6-in-1 USB-C Slim Multiport Adapter.

Satechi 6-in-1 Slim USB-C Adapter – Design

This is an updated version of their previous 6-in-1 adapter with 4K HDMI and up to 100W in power delivery through a USB-C cable. There are both SD and Micro SD readers, and I appreciate the two USB-A ports being 2.0 and 3.2, respectively.

The adapter’s body is aluminum, and the connecting wire is braided for durability. It’s as thin as an iPhone and not as tall once you fold the wire.

Satechi 6-in-1 Slim USB-C Adapter – Use

As with most adapters, use is straightforward. Plug into your laptop, tablet, or phone and start connecting.

The HDMI and power delivery alone makes it easy to connect to a monitor and stay charged while working. Despite the size of the adapter, I haven’t noticed any heat problems during my use.

Sharing files in a group setting is also simple, potentially using two thumb drives and SD cards at once. For example, I don’t have to wait to return to my MacBook to transfer pictures from a digital camera, and I immediately put them onto my phone to share with my friends.

For something that can fit in a pocket or bag, I always carry it with me in case a friend or I need extra ports.

Satechi 6-in-1 Slim USB-C Adapter – Highly productive adapter

It’s a simple and efficient adapter for how much six ports can give you. The build quality is solid and should last a long time, especially when USB-C seems to be the wire type of the decade.

If you need more ports, there are many options, or you might want more of a dock for your desk. Satechi’s products cost slightly more than others, but their quality is noticeably better.
