How to get the Apple Music and Apple TV+ student deal

Apple is bundling Apple TV+ for free with the Apple Music Student Deal, but showing that you qualify for the student deal isn’t completely straightforward.

You will need to verify your student status and prove that you’re enrolled at an eligible university or college to take advantage of the offer.

In the U.S. visit this page on Apple’s website to get the offer.

In the U.K. you need to go through the Unidays website to get the offer.

Follow the steps below:

  1. Open the Apple Music app on your iPhone, iPad or Mac.
  2. Click on Start your trial – but choose Student: tap where it says ‘Are you a University Student?’ and you’ll be directed to a verification system – if your college or university is eligible you’ll get the reduced subscription rate.
  3. Tap or click Verify Eligibility.
  4. U.K. students will be taken to the UNiDAYS website where they need to log on or create an account. U.S. users will verify their student status on Apple’s website.
  5. After you are verified you will be directed back to the Music app.
  6. Sign in to Music with your Apple ID.
  7. Add your payment information.

Near the end of each year that you have an Apple Music student subscription, you’ll see a message that asks you to verify your student status in the Apple Music app or iTunes.

You can cancel your subscription to Apple Music at any time.
