Whether you have an iPhone or need one, these early Prime Day deals have you covered

First published on Friday, July 12.

Amazon’s big Prime Day sale takes place on July 16 and 17 this year. There are lots of discounted products and deals—some of them good, some of them no better than you would find the rest of the year.

If you’re looking for a new iPhone you may be wondering if the iPhone will be on sale for Prime Day. The answer to this question depends on where you are based. If you’re in the U.S., Amazon is not the place to go to buy a new iPhone, however, in other countries, including the U.K., you will find the latest iPhones at Amazon at lower prices than Apple sells them for. iPhone deals are available year-round, but it isn’t usually until Prime Day that the deals are better at Amazon than from carriers and other retailers.

In the U.K., you can find the latest iPhones unlocked at Amazon and at other resellers. Supplies can be limited, and there are usually only small discounts for the newest handsets, but you might see some good deals on the older iPhone models such as the iPhone 14, iPhone 13, and iPhone SE. You can see current deals on various iPhones below. If you aren’t sure which iPhone to buy take a look at our iPhone buying guide and our comparison of every iPhone handset.

Best iPhone deals of Amazon Prime Day

If you are in the U.K. and in other places outside the U.S. then you can expect to find the iPhone on sale for Prime Day. These are the best Prime Day iPhone deals we’ve seen so far:

Amazon U.S. has a collaboration to offer the same deal you get on the Boost Infinite site: $60/month gets you a “free” iPhone 15 Pro with no trade-in required, paid for in bill credits over 3 years with an option to upgrade (and start the cycle over) every year.

In order to take advantage of some Prime Day deals, you need to be an Amazon Prime member. Amazon Prime costs $14.99 / £8.99 / AUD$6.99 on a monthly basis (but can be canceled after 30 days) and gives you two-day free delivery and access to Prime Video.

Prime Day: Best iPhone accessory deals

While Amazon doesn’t sell the latest iPhone 15 in the U.S. outside of the partnership with Boost Infinite, Prime Day can be a great time to get iPhone accessories. Here are the best sales we’re tracking.

Prime Day: Best iPhone 15 deals

In the U.S., Amazon has sold the iPhone 15 and iPhone 15 Pro with Boost Infinite for three years. It’s not a bad deal—you’ll get up to $1,000 off whichever model you choose without needing an old device to trade in and will be able to upgrade to a newer model after 12 months of service. Plans cost $60 per line for unlimited talk, text, and data on AT&T and T-Mobile’s networks.

Prime Day: Best iPhone SE deals

For those on a budget, or who just really want Touch ID instead of Face ID, there’s the iPhone SE from 2022. It’s as fast as the iPhone 14, but with an older design that has huge bezels, and a more limited camera. You won’t find it on Amazon U.S. but U.K. readers should check the deals in our monthly round-up of the best iPhone SE deals and below.

Prime Day: How can I get the best iPhone deals?

Many items in the Amazon Prime Day Sale are only open to Prime members, so you’ll need to sign in with an active membership to purchase one of the deals. Prime memberships cost $139 / £95 / AUD$59 annually, or $14.99 / £8.99 / AUD$6.99 every month. New users can sign up for a 30-day free trial that can be canceled at any time during the trial window. You’ll also get free one or two-day delivery and access to Amazon Prime Video and all that content.

One tip when you click on a good deal—even if it’s from a Macworld page—is to check that the product isn’t redirected to a refurbished model, and the current manufacturer’s price is listed, as that can make the price drop look a lot better than it is.
